The act of getting married means many things. Love, commitment, change and a start of a whole new life. Wedding are complex events. There is much to do and the feeling that everything must be perfect . Perfection should also mean fun and the absence of anxiety. Fun needs to be right up there on the priority list. 1 year of planning and stressing out can be avoided. Hire professionals with a good track record and that will solve most of your problems. Weddings are not an event to take chances. I feel as a wedding photographer with more than 20 years of experience that all you have left after the wedding is a collection of beautiful professional photographs. You can look make and relive one of the most important days of your life. Sure it is tempting to hire a semi pro photographer at low prices. But hiring a weekend warrior is like riding on a plane with no landing gear.

Although, I spent a lot of time photographing weddings throughout Upstate, NY and New York City, I just love the mountains of the Catskills and Adirondacks along with locations like the Mohonk Mountain House, The Full Moon Resort and Onteora Mountain house, The small villages of the mountains have such charm. They have wonderful mountain light and the old buildings are decorated beautifully. This is a shot from a wedding in the village of Tannersville, near the Hunter Mountain Ski Resort.
Yesterday I photographed a wonderful couples engagement photographs. I often photograph weddings in Hunter, Tannersville, Windham, The Full Moon Resort and Mohonk Mountain House. Every time Aperture Photography a photograph a wedding or engagement session I find new places of beauty to add to my collection of places to take my brides and grooms. The thought of a Catskills wedding or engagement session trills me. I cannot help but look forward to creating great photographs for my customers. What makes it all the more exciting is that there is little traffic and you can get to many wonderful sites in minutes. From Hunter Mountain and The Copper Tree Inn there are 10 places at least that are simply beautiful and most just 10 minutes away. The Catskills are simply photographic paradise. Among Aperture Photography's favorite locations are Tannersville, The Kaaterskill Falls, North and South Lake and the beautiful town of Windham, NY.
Engagement Photographs are so important to kick off wedding photography. The most important aspect is the couple gets great photographs in a different location. The photographs are in non-wedding clothing, which adds to the versatility. Also, you become comfortable with the photographer. Hopefully Aperture Photography. http://aperturephoto.com . Aperture Photography serves The Catskills, Hudson Valley, Kingston, NY, Albany, NY, Poughkeepsie, Saratoga, New Windsor, Saugerties, and the entire Upstate NY area including new York City.
There are some moments that cannot be scripted and some places that leave a permanent impression. As Wedding Photographer with Aperture Photography http://aperturephoto.com/ I have been just about everywhere Hunter and Windham for me have that element of the grandness of nature which cannot be outdone. Just taking a walk down a mountain road, The light hitting your skin and the cool breeze just starts the experience. You're up at the top of the world in a glistening whirl of breath taking mountain views and surrounded by the beauty of nature at its purest. No matter the season the experience is breathtaking. The Windham and Hunter experience is like standing in a painting, you become part of it and it becomes part of you and what better way to exchange vows and celebrate your life in the beauty of natures finest gift. I always enjoy photographing weddings in the majestic beauty of Hunter Mountain and Windham Mountain.
This August has been incredible ! Very Very Busy ! 5 more weddings to go this month. Thank you ! The incredible heat of July really calmed down. I got to photograph in some wonderful venues from New York to Vermont, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, Kingston, West Point, Vermont, Albany. I will be in Rhinebeck then up to Saratoga in the next few days. The wedding really looked great, I love staying busy. It keeps me sharp. Aperture Photography has some days left this year and is well into booking 2014. Call or e-mail today. We would love to photograph your wedding. Perhaps design you a beautiful album.
This was fun ! I just love late 1900's and early 1900's buildings. Shooting weddings with the vintage buildings and wonderful period colors stir my creative juices. Don't get me wrong I love country and mountain scences, but a change keeps a photographer fresh. Aperture Photography and more importantly the bride and groom get photographs that are stunning. The Hudson Valley has and the colors done a great job restoring the great old buildings. Towns that 20 years ago were falling apart are now pure gems. Here are a few shots from this weekend in Kingston, NY. Saugerties, Hudson, Albany, Saratoga, Poughkeepsie, Beacon and all the way to Westchester have similar beauty. I just love the unplanned moment | Aperture Photography Weddings at Anthony's Pier Nine in New Windsor
As a photographer it goes without saying there are must have photographs. But, the photographs I love most are the one you get when you just open your mind to the feeling and emotions of the day. This weekend Aperture Photography was at the famous Anthony's Pier Nine in New Windsor New York and the day was filled with great moments. I captured some shots that made a person who has been a wedding photographer for well over 20 years stop and say to myself " that is special" Here is a shot of Dad the groom and his daughter. The love needs no explanation and a picture is truly worth a thousand words.
